DVD copies of "The Matrix" were the best selling discs for the first few months of the PS2's life cycle. That premise of that film and the concept of a video game system that could also show your favorite movies made for a lightning-in-bottle moment that revolutionized home entertainment. Ask Netflix and Hulu how important movies on a video game console was to the beginnings of their businesses.
