Gaming’s Whacked-Out Week- December 14
« Back to Story
Why, prithee, has gaming’s greatest ogler, Leisure Suit Larry, made news this week? If the eponymous series of leer-tastic leerfests WITH LEERING ON could be summarized in one image, it’d be this one right here. The portly, balding loser has been attempting to seduce sexy ‘toon-tinged women since his inaugural appearance in 1987. But enough of our life story, as this game series is set to be take a rather more dignified turn (which wouldn’t be the most strenuous feat for a franchise that once set us a rhythm action ass-spanking-whilst-dressed-as-a-bonfire-for-no-fathomable-reason task.) Austin Wintory -composer of Journey’s majestic, awe-inspiring soundtrack- is chief music-maker for the impending Leisure Suit Larry remake. Journey’s score was recently afforded the honor of becoming the first to be Grammy-nominated in the video game sphere; so how did Wintory arrived at this ballache of a project? Ludicrous as this is, as Kotaku reports, ‘One thing seems likely: The new Leisure Suit Larry is probably going to have some soaring, gorgeously scored sex scenes.’ Huzzah!
