Yesterday saw the reveal of the Angry Birds Trilogy for PS3, 360 and 3DS. This proved to be the harbinger of several tonnes of PR horsecrap, spread with merry abandon across the internet without heed to the poor bastard who’ll have to bust out the mop and bucket to expunge it all. Rovio’s announcement (which you’ll find in the article) gleefully bandies around such hyperbole as 'ultimate collector’s edition’ and 'new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content.’ I’m going to impetuously award such talk the coveted title of Video Game B.S of the Week. Bereft of Angry Birds Space (comprising the original, Seasons and Rio editions), just how much bolster-tastic ‘entertaining content’ will need to be festooned upon this to render it a worthy purchase? All three can be purchased on mobile formats for a comparable price to a burger from Dodgy Dave’s Botulism Bistro in my neighborhood. The irate avians are less likely to induce a chronic case of (as it’s known in esoteric medical jargon) 'the shits', but that won’t suffice. We await further details on the upcoming package.
