Freddy's Nightmare was basically like Tales from the Crypt on a much lower budget. The anthology series was hosted by a hamming-it-up Freddy (by this point in the franchise he wasn't so much scary for his character as he was for his bad puns) who would introduce that weeks tale of horror.
