Is pizza a snack, or is it a meal? Some dudes think it's the former, while others insist it's the latter. Frankly, I think it's a bit of both. Which it is in the end depends on how many slices you eat. For one to three slices, I'd say that's a snack. For four, I'd say it's a mini meal or pre-meal, if you will. But if you eat half the pie or more, then that's a meal right there.

Taking the second definition one step further is this ginormous pizza called the Patriot that's being served up by a restaurant called Al Sanior in Beirut. It was spotted by Marc Kharrat during a night out, and he basically describes it as seven courses crammed into a single pie.

The Patriot can feed up to twenty people (yes, it's that huge!) and offers a variety of different flavors to the table. They are:

  • Za'atar: Middle Eastern dried herbs with sesame seeds, dried sumac, and other choice spices
  • Jibneh w/ Pepperoni: good old cheese and pepperoni
  • Kishk: basically a combination of cracked wheat and fermented yogurt
  • Sojouk: ground meat with spices crammed into sausage casing
  • Shanklish: milk cheese topped with tomato, onion, and olive oil
  • Jibneh: boring cheese and nothing more
  • Choco Mozzarella: as the name suggests, chocolate and cheese, which sounds gross but intriguing at the same time

If you happen to be bar hopping in Lebanon, gather up your buddies and give this pie a try!
