Nike is Hoping You Will Pay $315 For the LeBron X Shoes

Nike is unleashing the most expensive basketball shoes they've ever created, and for the low price of $315, you could be one of the lucky new owners of the LeBron X Nike Plus limited edition. Nike is only going to sell about 50,000 pairs of the motion sensor enabled pairs, which will helpfully confirm to you that your vertical sucks.

The regular version of the shoe, which won't increase your jumping ability but also won't rub it in your face that you don't have any, is expected to sell for $175.

To me it's laughable that anyone would spend that much money on a pair of shoes to measure their vertical. Then again, I'm sure they'll be sold out in a matter of hours. In fact, Nike told retailers that they can't have midnight sales because they don't want people getting hurt or worse trying to get a pair of the new kicks.
