Some say the NHL has turned the corner from the mid-2000s when aggressive defense and low popularity had the league on the ropes. Even so, NHL 13 is making sure the hockey purists out there will be impressed with the tenacity of defenders in the new game. In any team sport, it's true that defense wins championships but it's scoring that puts butts in the seats.
