NFL Week One – Interconference in Pictures

Michael Garcia - September 11, 2012

Four games of NFC/AFC showdowns yesterday in the NFL, and there was one OT thriller, two blowouts, and one putrid imitation of an NFL game.

Michael Vick threw four picks and still managed to pull out a last minute win against the Cleveland Browns. Brandon Weeden helped the Eagles' cause by throwing four INTs of his own and completing 12 out of 35 passes. My favorite play of the day was Trent Richardson plowing through Eagles' safety Kurt Coleman. The picture is great and you can see the video here. On a second look, Coleman's helmet was already loosened when Richardson smashed it off his head, but still impressive. The Chicago Bears beat the crap out of Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, while Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall showed that they didn't lose any chemistry being on different teams the last couple of years.

Atlanta rolled into Kansas City and beat up the Chiefs, while Minnesota took out Jacksonville in OT behind the stellar play of Adrian Peterson. The guy had major knee surgery eight months ago and ran for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Unreal.
