New Stills from ‘The Hobbit’ Give You a Preview of Bilbo’s Grand Adventure

There's still two more months before The Hobbit hits theaters and I'm starting to get antsy. As Percy Jackson has proven with The Lord of the Rings trilogy, he can produce magic when he's behind the camera and we're all just hoping he continues to do so with the epic franchise's prequel.

Given that it's a prequel, we go back to the time when Gandalf was still Grey and Bilbo's hair was still brown. Interestingly, Frodo still looks like the Frodo we know from previous films.

In an effort to get fans of LOTR properly psyched for The Hobbit, five new images were released to offer a preview of Bilbo's grand adventures before he even came across Sauron's ring. They're not much but hey, we'll take anything we can get at this point.

The Hobbit is scheduled to be released on December 14th.
