Netflix Stranger Things Was At Risk After Abuse Allegations

With all of the abusive speech accusations floating around there needs to be a clear definition of what counts as abusive. Most women are chatty Pattys in any environment where two or more are gathered. Evidence of this behavior is available to be observed at your local neighborhood office, or on just about any episode of Mad Men. But now any man in a high position telling a woman, or group of women, to get back to work will earn himself a trip to the MeToo hot seat. Peyton Brown at first glance doesn’t look like your typically MeToo victim. But she’s pointing the finger at showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer for acting abusively towards multiple women.

Peyton Brown, a crew member on the set of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things, accuse series showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer of acting abusively toward “multiple women” on the show’s set. Both Netflix, and the series’ showrunners, have now responded to these accusations; the streaming service has said that it investigated the allegations against the Duffers, stating that the company “found no wrongdoing” on either man’s part. The Duffers themselves also issued a statement denying the accusations against them.

Peyton’s first mistake was not establishing credibility. Being a self proclaimed “dog mom” is dead giveaway as to what type of woman you’re dealing with. They’re the younger versions of lonely old cat women who have failed to maintain relationships with anything that doesn’t walk on four legs long enough to have human children. Dogs will love almost anyone by default, men won’t. And everyone knows a subconscious hatred of men either drives women to exclusively love only women or adopt more animals. Also in the Instagram rant where she blamed the Duffer brothers of wrong doing she managed to mention the amount of followers she has. Gaining “Time’s Up” courage from 11,000 people you most likely don’t know personally shouldn’t be grounds to go on a power trip. False abuse rumors could potentially ruin an accused party’s career. Finally, I’d say reposting any quote from an account called “kush and wizdom” should be enough to warrant an apology for the type of female she is but women like her are only sorry that they’re not sorry. This women almost ruined Stranger Things for everyone and couldn't care less.

I guess there’s no better day than #nationalwomensday to say #timesup and announce that I will not be a part of the filming of Season 3 of Stranger Things. Why, you ask? Because I stand with my sisters. I personally witnessed two men in high positions of power on that set seek out and verbally abuse multiple women. I promised myself that if I were ever in a situation to say something that I would. I have 11.5 thousand followers who can hear me say this, TIME IS UP. Women in the film industry are POWERFUL. We will rise and we will scream from mountain tops in support of each other and I will not contribute my time, efforts, and talent to such abusive people. There is too much going on in this world to be regressive. There are too many amazing and highly respected men in respective positions of power that I have had the utmost pleasure of working beside. Those are the people I want to surround myself with. Those are the projects I want to be a part of. This industry is no longer led by a “few good men,” but instead by an OCEAN of ASTOUNDING WOMEN. Enough is enough.
