Mulder and Scully are On the Case in New ‘X-Files’ Season 11 Promo (VIDEO)

I'm really hoping that part of the story line for Season 11 of The X-Files involves Mulder getting digitally smoothed in a laboratory, because there is something unnatural happening to David Duchovny in this new promo. Yeah, yeah, I get that the bigger mystery here is why they don't trust Mitch Pileggi's Skinner all of a sudden, but what in god's name is happening to David Duchovny's forehead?

Gillian Anderson, on the other hand, looks amazing. She's absolutely gorgeous and, like Julia Louis-Dreyfus, only seems to get better looking as she gets older. She's easily ninety percent of the reason I'm tuning in for this next season. Well, that and hopefully getting to the bottom of whatever it is that David Duchovny did—or had done to—his face. It's not natural. He looks like an unfinished cgi recreation of Chris Cooper.

I don't know, maybe one of you guys can help me with this one, but it's really bothering me. It's especially troubling because he doesn't always look like this. I mean, here he is later in the same promo...

I just really want someone to tell me the truth. I honestly and truly want to believe. X-Files season 11 debuts sometime in early 2018.
