Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza Out-Bro the Bros in the Trailer for ‘Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates’

Judging by the first official trailer, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates doesn't try to re-invent the raunchy buddy comedy formula. It just gives it a little tweak. 

You see, Zack Effron and Adam Devine are hard-partying brothers who refuse to grow up. However, when their sister gets engaged, their parents tell them to find nice, respectable dates to bring home and introduce to the family. So they do. And they're all excited to show off their classy babes. Only it turns out that their classy babes, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, aren't really classy. They're actually pot-smoking, porn-watching party animals who out-bro the bros. 

In other words, Mike and Dave is two parts Wedding Crashers, one parts Meet the Parents. Only nobody is in the CIA, and instead of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn you have Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza. And that's awesome, because those are great movies, and Kendrick and Plaza are fantastic. 

I'm totally going to see this movie when it hits theaters July 8.
