Melissa Joan Hart’s Vacation Inconvenienced by Hurricane Maria

The entire US territory of Puerto Rico is without power, people have perished attempting to seek shelter, and so many families are without housing due to the destruction of Hurricane Maria. But none of that even comes close to the single most worst possible resulting scenario from the hurricane, Melissa Joan Hart missed her vacation. Celebrities for the longest time have been out of touch with the poor people too willing to give them the attention and money necessary to elevate them to their elite status. Maybe if more underprivileged women actually spent their money on more things that mattered instead of all seven seasons of Sabrina on Blu-Ray it’s possible Melissa may not have been able to afford her vacation that was canceled by Mother Nature. What’s so entertaining and relatable about being a teenage witch is something I’ll never understand. 

In the since-deleted post to Instagram (above), the Sabrina The Teenage Witchstar wrote:

"And just like that, our family vacation is canceled. Such a bummer but we plan to hit the @nickresortpuntacana resort another time this year."

It didn't take long before commenters offered the celeb some perspective, saying things like:

"I think you should be more concerned with the people that live there instead of your meaningless vacation."

"Wow…"

"First, Punta Cana is the Dominican Republic, not Dominica. And it's better to be ‘bummed' about death, destruction there.

Understandably Melissa was attacked on social media and eventually deleted her post. How is it possible to have so much money in your possession and not pay someone to filter your insensitive stupidity. Even just asking a friend “hey do you think this is offensive” before you post possible public image damaging perspectives on social media is free. Maybe Melissa and Kirk Cameron can hook up and Hurricane shame people together on social media as a super duo. Both can make category five comments that will blow you away.
