Mario Williams Signs with Buffalo Bills For $100 Million

The Buffalo Bills made the off season's biggest defensive free agent signing, landing Mario Williams from the Houston Texans. Williams, the former number one overall pick of the Texans in 2006, has agreed to a six year deal worth up to $100 million, with $50 million guaranteed, according to ESPN.

Williams started out as strictly a defensive end, but was moved to outside linebacker last season and was flourishing until a week five injury ended his year. The Bills had earlier signed WR Stevie Johnson to an extension and look serious about making themselves a legitimate contender in the tough AFC East. 

The Bills started off the season surprisingly hot and were the talk of the league. But right after QB Ryan Fitzpatrick signed a huge extension in October, the Bills reverted back to their old ways and started losing, finishing the year 6-10 after jumping out to a 5-2 start.

With Williams, the defense should be able to improve on their miserable sack total of 29, which was third worst in the league.
