Madden 13 Overrated These NFL Players to the Point of Absurdity

Fans sitting at bar stools throw hyperbole and reckless qualifiers around the favorite sports teams and athletes like it's a national past time. The beauty of a game like Madden 13 is that the term "overrated" can be used literally since the game assigns point value, on a scale of 5-100, for specific player abilities that cover everything from athleticism (speed, strength, accleration) to position specific skills (tackle breaking for RBs, kickin power for punters).

When we say a guy is overrated around here, there are numerical values that go with that claim and that can be argued for days on end. There's no reason to fear argument, disagreement or reckless hyperbole when it comes to Madden 13 ratings. The folks at EA SPORTS do this stuff on purpose, just to get under the skin and agitate like splinter of poison oak.

So now, we present a handful of players Madden 13 has overrated --as in their player ratings are too high-- and forced upon us because of hype, endorsement deals and who the hell knows why. Eli Manning, just take your Super Bowl rings and realize you're a damn good QB but really, you're no better after this Super Bowl win than you were after your last Super Bowl win.
