There are few things that are as American as football and beautiful women. For years the two have been married together; guys bash their heads out and punish their bodies on the field while the ultra-hot cheerleaders do their thing on the sideline.
God bless the visionary (Mitch Mortaza) that finally figured out a way to throw the men out of the equation by creating the Lingerie Football League. Hot chicks wearing next to nothing while they play football—does it get any better than this?
It's too bad that the game is going to be taking a break in the U.S. this coming season.
Before you freak out let me explain. The LFL played its season in the fall and winter each year. Someone finally figured out that while there is real football being played the interest in the league is going to be a little bit lower. Let's be real here guys; we love the babes, but when you have real football on…
So what the LFL will be doing is suspending the 2012-13 season in the U.S., but will be preparing to launch the league anew in April 2013. In the meantime they will be expanding the league into Canada (starting in August 2012), Australia (2013), and Europe (2014).
MTV had been broadcasting U.S. games; no word yet on whether they will do the same with the Canadian ones this fall. The league may have a more pressing issue on hand anyway.
What goes best with football besides your buddies, brats, and babes? Beer. There is some concern over whether the Regina Rage and the Saskatoon Sirens will be legally able to sell beer at games (even though they have announced that they will be).
Liquor laws in many of the Canadian provinces can be pretty strict. Many do not allow liquor to be sold at events where women will be taking their clothes off for the purpose of "titillation." The word so far is that the league should be fine since the purpose of the events will be more for athletic reasons and not to get naked.
So all you guys north of the border pop open a Molson's and get ready—the Lingerie Football League is coming to town!
