Lavalantula Is The Fire Spider Movie You Didn’t Know You Needed

SyFy is famous for making really crappy but totally awesome original movies. The most famous is the Sharknado saga, of course, but they have made some gems over the years. Lavalantula looks truly amazing. It stars Steve Guttenberg as a washed up actor from the 90's, (which is a stretch). He is called to action when an earthquake unleashes a species of fire-breathing lava spiders. Sure, that makes sense. He has to stop these fire spiders with the help of some of his Police Academy co-stars including sound effects wizard Michael Winslow. Will he be able to annihilate these spiders? Will Hightower show up? Will the go to the Blue Oyster Bar? I don't know. 

What I do know is that I cannot wait for this movie. It looks truly amazing. I have a soft spot in my heart for Guttenberg because I loved both the Police Academy movies and the first Short Circuit as a kid. Plus, fire spiders.
