Perhaps the best thing about awards season is the constant parade of hot celebs strutting their stuff on the red carpets in an increasingly revealing series of gowns, because lord knows it's not the endless fawning over mediocrities like Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody. The National Board of Review handed out their previously announced awards last night, and you'd better believe the stars were out!
Kicking things off is Best Actress winner Lady Gaga, who kept things relatively simple in a black number that was much more contained than her expansive Golden Globes gown. Maggie Gyllenhaal was there as well!
Olivia Wilde had a very colorful dress on that was every bit as beautiful as she is, and would you look at that, Maggie Gyllenhaal was there as well. Sophia Bush was resplendent in red, while Constance Wu's plunging neckline was downright drool-worthy. Gemma Chan wore a flowery dress, and yes, indeed, Maggie Gyllenhaal was there as well. I kid Maggie, she's great, I love her and want her inside me.
What an event, what a night to remember, what a time to be alive, and what were we just talking about? These are the things I'll remember about this year's National Board of Review awards.
