Real women care about real issues. Which is why it made sense for Kourtney Kardashian to drag her “I can’t believe it’s not Kim” caboose all the way to Capitol Hill and complain about the ingredients that are allowed to be inside of make-up. I couldn’t think of anything more important to make an issue of at the moment. The father of your children barley avoids vacations to the psych ward and has a strong attraction to women who are barely legal. But the most important issue to her is making sure her adult face paint is safe to wear. Why should congress care that the shade of corralberry pearl will one day give you cancer? If you look hard enough, there’s probably one study from someone somewhere saying everything produced by humans can give you cancer. I know I feel a case of cancer coming on after realizing make-up safety may become a top priority issue in 2018 just because a celebrity feels it should be a big deal.

Kourtney Kardashian takes Congress! The eldest KarJenner, 38, addressed Congress today on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. during a briefing with the Environmental Working Group President Ken Cook in an effort to reform the laws that regulate ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products in the United States.

Kardashian teamed up with the non-profit organization as it launches a new initiative, #BeautyMadeBetter, to raise awareness for reform as it has been 80 years since the U.S. last passed a law to regulate the safety of personal care products.

I have no doubt that Kourtney is just using the publicity to sell organic make up and disrupt the sales of established brands when they are forced to make their foundations safer. Even if Revlon slapped "cosmetics can kill" warning labels on their lipsticks women will still buy them. The addiction is worse than cigarettes as the right mixture of highlighting and contouring can allow the most hideous of women to go outside during daylight hours instead of residing under a dark bridge away from society where these troll face women belong.
