Brutal. What else can be said about the Chiefs this year? They're beyond mediocre, they're basically inept and the only two games left on their schedule where it would be conceivable that they might win are against Carolina and Cleveland, and I doubt they win either of those. Their best player, Jamaal Charles left the game with a neck injury after getting hit hard, but hadn't done too much anyway.
The Chargers defense scored on two consecutive possessions, the Chiefs had one touchdown all night. First Matt Cassel was stripped of the ball in the end zone and that was recovered for a TD. Then on the very next drive, Cassel had a pass tipped and intercepted then taken back 59 yards to the house by Demorrio Williams. The Chiefs have not been in front during a game yet. In eight games, the 1-7 Chiefs have always been behind or tied. Unreal.
So the big question left for the Chiefs is Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, or some other QB in the draft?
