There is nothing about being a professional football player that requires a person to be charismatic and likable. Owners don't dish out millions to the nice guy; they pay the man that gets the job done regardless of whether he's a boy scout, jerk, convict, or if he can sing.

That a good thing for Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler because the man can't sing.

When he was asked to throw out the first pitch to Saturday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks and sing during the seventh inning stretch his publicist had to tell him that it would endear him to the city of Chicago and not just Bears fans. Sounds like a smart PR move, right?

It could have been if he had bothered to learn the lyrics, act interested, and try to turn on some charm for the one minute that he had a microphone in his hand. Instead he sounded like he was in kindergarten and being forced to read a book he didn't like.

Then again, he doesn't seem to read much of anything (ba-dump-dump).
