Injustice: Gods Among Us Really Means Fighting with DC Heroes

It seems as though the guys over at NetherRealm Studios couldn't get enough of the DC Universe with their Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe title they released back in 2010 because they're coming back for more...and I couldn't be happier.

The creators of the legendary fighting series, Mortal Kombat, have jumped back into the DC Universe with their latest game 'Injustice: Gods Among Us'. The game features a look and style similar to Mortal Kombat filled with some of DC's most popular characters, including Superman, Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman to name a few, as well as some lesser known characters such as Solomon Grundy. While almost all information is being kept tightly under wraps, it looks as though our DC heroes will be taking a turn to the dark side and stepping into the ring, as revealed in the trailer which you can see below.

Whether this game is just a crappy knock off of MK vs. DC or the start of a series that will take DC in a new direction, I will most likely be buying it...simply because I'm a nerd and this looks awesome. Just look at those costumes! It's like a beautiful blend of the battle armor seen in DC Universe Online and the 'New 52' DC Comics reboot.

Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced Injustice: Gods Among Us, an all-new game in development by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, creators of the definitive fighting game franchise Mortal Kombat.The game is scheduled for release in 2013 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Wii U™ system from Nintendo.
