I Don’t Understand Why: Yellow Banana-Shaped Pool Table

If you had a Family Computer and played Lunar Ball when you were a kid, then this yellow banana-shaped pool table might remind you of the unusually-shaped tables featured in the game. It won't morph into another shape once you're done shooting all the balls into the hole, but it begs the question: why? Why would anyone want a banana-shaped pool table?
