‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ Continues the Grimm Action with a New Poster and Red Band Trailer (VIDEO)

Fairy tales are all the rage these days. Not the versions we knew and loved (or hated) when we were kids, but re-written ones that Hollywood producers and execs will be shoving down our throats in the near future.

They turned Snow White into a chainmail-wearing adulteress warrior in Snow White and the Huntsman, and now they're turning Grimm's candy-hungry siblings into witch hunters. Apparently, that's what the duo became fifteen years after their close encounter at the gingerbread house.

The grown-up version of Snow White's tale didn't entirely suck. And it looks like Hansel and Gretel are giving that franchise a run for their money from the looks of the new red band trailer of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters that just debuted.

Aside from the trailer, they also released a new poster featuring a sex-tastic Gemma Arterton as Gretel and a bad-ass Jeremy Remmer as Hansel. You can check it out in its entirety in the gallery below.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will hit theaters sometime in 2013.
