Halo 4 Introduces Orange, Floaty Mechanisms with these Promethean Weapons (VIDEO)

The Promethean Weapons in Halo 4 are intended to have their own alien aesthetic to make them recognizable as Promethean in design (they're a floaty, orange-loving species) and particularly devastating when used correctly. I've had some time with those Promethean guns and after that crazy grenade they use, the bolt pistol might be my favorite. The scattershot is getting a tremendous amount of attention, but don't you fall for it. Bolt pistol is the way to go because it annihilates Crawlers with ease and looks cool doing. Dispatching those little robotic wolf-hound looking things quickly is a key to success in Halo 4. The Promethean grenades on the other hand are more fun to watch than they are effective. They do a whole timed energy release contraction and expansion that's really neat-looking. I have no idea how damaging they are to enemies because every time I threw one the bad guys just walked away while it did it's whole expanding-contracting thing.

Anyway, absorb all the little details about the Promethean weapons in Halo 4 and you'll be all the better for it.
