So here we are, Ego-gents. Almost a month into 2016. Even the drunkiest drunks among us have probably sobered up from new years by now. Were you one of the ones who posted those annoying-ass ‘new year, new me' dealies on Facebook? Come on now, admit it. I saw you.

Maybe you're sticking with your pledge to powerwalk to work every day, or cut down on that smoking, or finally pursue your ambition to accrue the world's biggest collection of Justin Bieber merchandise. Maybe your new years resolutions died on their asses by January 3, like everyone else's. Probably that second one. After all, the world's getting over those January blues and settling right back into the old routine.

Here in the gaming world, that means another crop of free gaming goodness from PlayStation. First up, we're taking a trip down Microsoft way. What's on offer from Games with Gold this February?

The biggest name this month is Gears of War 2, an iconic slice of TPS action available from February 16-29 on Xbox 360. It's joined on the system by the toontastic hack-and-slasher Sacred Citadel, from February 1 to 15.

On Xbox One, you can download yourself Hand of Fate all through February. This is an odd kind of action RPG/card game, worth an ogle for the entry price of zero dollars. There's also Styx: Master of Shadows, a kind of Metal Gear Solid Goblin, from February 16 to March 15.
