First Look at Amber Heard as Mera in ‘Aquaman’

We haven't heard much from Amber Heard lately, mainly because she vilified America's foremost expert in accessorizing Johnny Depp. While Depp may seem like a Claire's that gained sentience, he's still got a lot of pull in Hollywood and has turned Heard into the Sondra Locke of the new millennium. Even still, she's soldiering on and is looking to deepen her fan base by playing Aquaman's wife Mera in the DC Cinematic Universe.

This is our first look at Heard in character in the upcoming film, and it's clear that WB, DC, and director James Wan know what her best assets are and have accentuated them accordingly. It's a smart move on their part, knowing that most of us are going to see these pictures and instantly forget about anything negative we may have Heard about her—pun intended. In fact, DC should answer any controversial casting decisions by immediately posting a picture of said controversial actress soaking wet with plenty of cleavage. It's a surefire cure-all. 

While Aquaman won't hit theaters until next Christmas, we'll get our first look at Heard in action in the upcoming Justice League film, due in theaters November 17.
