“Fifty Shades Of Grey” Dominate The Razzies

The Oscars were last night, an evening where the best films that very few people saw competed for the pleasure of inflating some Hollywood millionaire egos. It was a pretty good year for film...except when it wasn't. Some truly terrible movies came out in 2015 and probably the worst one was Fifty Shades of Grey. It won the top honor of Worst Picture of the year at The Razzies along with the abomination known as The Fantastic Four. Fifty Shades also won for Worst Actor for Jamie Dornan, Worst Actress for Dakota Johnson, and Worst On-Screen Combo for both of them. It's not really a surprise that a film adaptation of a crappy book inspired by Twilight Fan Fiction would take the top prizes. I saw Fifty Shades, hoping at least to enjoy seeing Dakota Johnson naked. And sure, she takes off her clothes, but the whole thing is so unsexy. It is shocking, in fact that a movie that is supposed to be specifically about kinky sex to be...I don't know...sexy and not the most boring thing I've ever seen. But alas, it is just horrible.

And keep in mind, there were Adam Sandler films nominated. He's a favorite of the Razzies, for obvious reasons. But you just can't compete with the horror that is Fifty Shades.
