Superhero Postage Stamps
If you're a superhero fan, as I am, you will probably like these cool new stamps from the US Postal Service. There's twenty in all, and they will be available next summer. Cool. Geeky, but cool. (via Boing Boing)

The Flash on DVD

04:23 AM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ The Flash

flash-dvd.jpgThe Flash is coming to DVD! Now, at first, I said to myself "Wow! That's great!" But I honestly don't know if I should get this DVD set. Sure I liked the show, but I think I was 11 years old. Will it stand the test of time? Will my precious childhood memories be ruined forever? Will I actually watch it, or it will it end up on my shelf with the myriad other TV show DVDs I've never watched (Buffy, Angel, Smallville... That's 17 season's worth of TV)? Anyway, it's coming out January 10, 2006. Just in time for after Christmas...

All the info can be found at TVShowsOnDVD.com

By the way, can anyone tell me what the hell is outfit was actually made of?

"The Flash" Has Great Potential

Thanks go out to Egotastic! reader Charles Ramez for letting us know about this New York Daily News article. The article generally talks about Batman Begins, and how it's really good, but goes into a little detail on Batman screenwriter David Goyer, who also wrote the Blade movies (and directed Blade Trinity), Ghost Rider, and is now writing the film adaptation of The Flash.

The really exciting stuff is all about the cool shit they're planning for The Flash movie, and it seems like this movie has a whole lot of awesome potential. Here's the good stuff:

"Fans know there's been more than one Flash over the years," Goyer adds. "There's been a lot of speculation and rumor, but both Barry Allen and Wally West will be in this movie."

Goyer is referring to the The Flash's "normal" identity. He started as Jay Garrick in 1940. Allen took over in 1956 and Wallace (introduced as Kid Flash in 1959) in 1986.

"We're going to go into the 'Speed Force' and a lot of the cosmic aspects of the character from the more recent past," Goyer says. "Trust me, we're going to do a lot more than have the Flash run on water and create vortexes.

"I have a guy from M.I.T. helping me with all of this. We're going to be playing with relativity, Doppler effects and all kinds of things like that. Audiences will be amazed."

Ryan Reynolds Talks "The Flash"

10:03 PM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ The Flash

ComingSoon.net has a short little diddy featuring Ryan Reynolds and the possibility of "The Flash" getting a greenlight. I thought it was a done deal, but apparently not. Reynolds seems to be a great fit for the wise-cracking speedy hero. Here's hoping the Hollywood machine doesn't dick it up too much. (More info at Movie Blog)
