The Sharon Stone Sex Scene You Won’t See. Hint: There’s an Orgy
According to Stuff.co.nz, a steamy sex scene - an orgy scene, in fact - from Sharon Stone's steamy sequel to Basic Instinct will not be making it to American theatres. The reason for the cut scene? Well, it seems that the previous NC-17 rating would have prevented teenagers from being allowed to see the movie.
So I guess that makes it okay for teens, then. As long as they don't get any ideas about orgies. Because teenagers would never think about orgies on their own... Personally, I think teens should be allowed to see whatever movies they want. It's not like they can't download it on the internet anyway.
But the real reason behind the trimmed scene? Money. NC-17 films don't do well at the box office because of their limited audiences, and of course, now the studio will be able to give us the unrated DVD, the super unrated DVD, and the DVD with scenes of Sharon Stone you never wanted to see.
