Mischa Barton’s Boyfriend is Poor

It's a good thing Mischa Barton is financially independent, because her boyfriend, Cisco Adler, isn't going to be picking up the cheque any time soon. According to The New York Daily News, Adler's band, Whitestarr, have only sold 812 copies of their album "Luv Machine" since releasing it May 16. Ouch!

Because the financial outlook is bleak for her scraggly boyfriend, Cisco Adler, and his rock band, White­starr.

Adler and his band mates released their first album, "Luv Machine," on Contango Records on May 16, and so far sales have topped out at a less-than-whopping 812 copies.

That's right, less than a thousand -- with only 75 units sold last week, according to the sales and marketing folks at Rocket Science.

Whitestarr has been on the L.A. music scene for years, frequently playing club dates at venues such as The Roxy on Sunset Boulevard. It probably helps their bookings that Cisco's dad, Lou Adler, co-founded The Roxy, and the club is run by Cisco's brother Nic.

Adler, previously engaged to Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly, has been dating Barton since the middle of last year, sometime after she dumped rehabbing oil heir Brandon Davis.

Just last month, she lost a regular paycheck when her character was killed off Fox's "The O.C." But lucky for her and her new beau, she's the face of Keds sneakers and has several movies in the works.

Even I've sold more records than that. Actually I haven't, but that's because I haven't put out an album. Seriously, though, 812 copies is crap. Don't record sales numbers like that get you disqualified from dating hot actresses like Mischa Barton? I mean, the whole point is to date successful musicians, isn't it? There's nothing sexy about a greasy, ugly, poor musician. Of course, a greasy, ugly, poor musician who has access to all of Daddy's money, still holds a little allure.
