The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards hit last night, hosted by Nate Bargatze at the Peacock Theater in LA, the ceremony crowned new champs, served up some fashion, and proved once again that TV is the only entertainment medium still reliably chaotic.
Here’s who ended up walking out with the hardware:
Best Drama Series went to The Pitt.
Best Comedy Series was snagged by The Studio, which also broke the record for most Emmys in a single season by a comedy.
In the Limited Series / Anthology bracket, Adolescence cleaned up.
Best Lead Actress in a Drama: Britt Lower for Severance.
Best Lead Actor in a Drama: Noah Wyle for his work in The Pitt.
Supporting wins included Tramell Tillman (Severance) and Katherine LaNasa (The Pitt) in their respective categories.
Over in comedy: Jean Smart won Lead Actress for Hacks.
Severance led with the most nominations (27), but that idiot Seth Rogen'sThe Studio grabbed the most awards overall.
The 77th Emmys ended up being more than just who won what, it was about style statements, surprise moments, and those few times where awards and performance collided. But I guess it was really about Hollywood sucking up to Seth Rogen, for some reason..
