There is no wonder why snakes are the go-to animal for modeling shoots. Being that they are in the top three of animals which resemble penises, they are a hot commodity. The other two animals are naked mole rats and electric eels, so there is not much competition for jobs. Snakes look sleek, clean, and firm—all things that you want out of your phallic objects. But naked mole rats look like flaccid old man dick, and eels are too dangerous to handle. Given those other options, snakes are going to win out every day of the week.

If there are any skeptics out there that doubt snakes are used because of their phallic imagery, I’ll give you even more evidence.

Why is it that snakes in photos are always long and girthy? There are plenty of cute little snakes that would be easier for a 90 pound model to handle. Well, the answer is the same as why adult film stars are not working with cute little snakes. Don’t make me get any more specific than that, please. My future children may read this one day.
