Dead or Alive 5 is going to be such an epic fighting title that Tecmo Koei are starting a tournament for gamers a full three months before the game is even out. Beginning Tuesday June 5 (the first official day of E3, that is) players will have the chance to get their hands on DoA5, battle other gamers and have it all mean something. After several rounds of battle at E3 and throughout the summer, the winner will be the "I'm a Fighter" world champion by the time Dead or Alive 5 hits store shelves in September. The downside: only DoA players with access to E3 will be able to get in on those early rounds.

On the positive side, however, you're talking about a whole lot of folks getting to play one of the top fighting franchises of all time for several months before it even comes out. The dynamic new environments already look pretty impressive with the recently revealed circus level sporting an angry prowling tiger and a fully functional human cannon.
