The news is pretty depressing these days. You have ISIS, ebola, the Crimea, police shootings, and a whole bunch of other horrible stuff. It's enough to make you want to never watch the news again. What's the point? It's only going to depress you and is all kinds of biased anyway. The only thing that could make the news tolerable is if you had better news anchors. Perhaps Cookie Monster and John Oliver? It is a fact that everything is better with Muppets but if that Muppet happens to be Cookie Monster it is elevated to the level of art. John Oliver is also arguably the funniest Daily Show correspondent since the two Steves left the show. His new show on HBO is pretty funny too.
