I'm going to let you in on a shameful secret from my past. Not that there's only one, but one from today. As a young lad, I once worked as a Macy's sales 'associate', and by associate, they meant minimum wage plus ten cents per hour, so, pretty big time stuff. And, one day, like most days there actually, half the employees were out sick or lost or stoned somewhere in the warehouse so there was an emergency coverage call, meaning all few hands still standing had to cover the entire store, which left yours truly in temporary, but delightful supervisory oversight role of the lingerie department at Macy's. What a world. Letting power and panties go immediately to my head, I called for a comprehensie sweep of the dressing rooms by the new department head, myself, to insure theft prevention,of course. Oh, the visual wonderments of that lifetime in five minutes before I was unceremoniously moved to Rugs and Carpets. All but a sharp smiling memory now.
