Cat Ladies Can Now Drink Wine With Their Pets

I have two cats and I really love them, but I'm realistic about things. They are cats and I'm a human and there is more to life than their fuzzy wuzzy faces. But I know quite a few real life cat ladies and I can tell you that they are a cautionary tale. There but for the grace of God go I, you know? I know a woman who pushes her cats around in a stroller around New York City. That's crazy. If there is one other thing that cat ladies enjoy doing it's drinking wine by themselves. They probably wish that their kitties could join them in a nice bottle that they bought at the 7-11, but alcohol is poisonous to cats. Luckily, there is a new product out there that is going to make your next cat lady party special: wine for cats.

It's not actually wine, of course. It's water, catnip, and beet juice and comes in flavors like Pinot Meow and MosCATo, Apollo Peak. One of the creators, Brandon Zavala, said this about why they created it,

"It’s made like a tea. But since we got it to look so much like a wine, we want it to be perceived as a wine by the consumer — that way they can feel as though they are having a glass of wine with their pet."

Was there really a big call for this? I'm pretty sure there wasn't.
