While I've been a big fan of Cara Delevingne as a model from the minute I laid eyes on her, she and I got off on the wrong foot when it came to her film choices. While Suicide Squad wasn't her first film, she stuck out as being a particularly bad part of an egregiously bad movie, not least of which because the director had her move like a Festrunk Brother.

Then I saw last summer's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and I changed my opinion of her as an actress. She acted circles around her wet blanket of a co-star Dane DeHaan, and proved pretty conclusively that with the right role and right director, she could rise above mediocre material. The film wasn't particularly memorable, but I'll never forget her teeny swimsuit she's wearing when we first meet her.

I'm no longer nervous about seeing Cara in a film, and I'm almost to the point where I'm looking forward to her being in more movies. So long as none of those movies have the words "Suicide" or "Squad" in the title. That was some really bad stuff right there. Downright embarassing.
