Brandon Routh in Superman Suit

OMG!!! Fanboy Alert! Fanboy Alert!

USA Today has revealed the first look at Brandon Routh in the new Superman outfit.

And, sadly, I'm not digging it...

What's with the stick-on S-shield?

Why's the shield so small?

Since when is the shield on his belt buckle?

Why are the colours of the suit like those of Evil Superman (below)?

And, from the angle of the picture, it looks like the cape is tucked in all dorky.

Plus, I believe the red lines on the belt are supposed to be belt loops. Yes, I know it's stupid to have belt loops on the underwear you're wearing over your tights, but that's just the way it goes.

On choosing the design, Singer said he wanted "something classic." Um, hello, there's no need for something classic. Just use the damn classic suit! Not one of Bryan Singer's better moments.
