The big event for TV watchers around the globe, or at least in Europe was this weekend's 67th edition of Eurovision, which took place in the tropical paradise that is Liverpool.

Eurovision is an original song contest put on by the Europe Broadcast Union for participating countries, it was created in the early television days and was a tool to unite Europe. This year, 26 countries sent representatives to compete for the title including Australia, a far away European vista.

The winner of the event was Sweden's Loreen with her song Tattoo.

In second place was Finland and in third place a babe named Noa Kirel from Israel, who is already a big star with over 1.5 million followers on social media, so she doesn't need the hype, but her dance solo is pretty insane around 2 mintues 30 in.

The real star was Poland's Blanka, who came in 19th with 93 points.

Blanka is a model and now singer / songwriter on the international scale, but unfortunately for her, it comes with some controversy because she's being called out for her song "Solo" sounding too much like a Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato song from 2018 with the same name, because it's a remix.

Apparently, under copyright law, the original copyright owners of the song could sue Blanka and maybe even Eurovision over this, however, it doesn't mean that they would win because it would be hard for them to prove she wasn't just borrowing the title, them and style of the song!

Here's that Demi Lovato song for comparison!

All this to say, all news is good news, so more and more people are learning about Blanka who you can follow on INSTAGRAM
