Yes, it's real. It's not a fake My Space celebrity page, like so many others. This is Billy Corgan's My Space page.

I'm continually amazed at marketing campaigns that use social networking to promote a new album, or movie, but I guess it's effective. Hell, I'm writing about it.

About being a solo act, Corgan says:

"I always thought the solo thing was so egoistic, and believe it or not, I didn't want that,"

I think he meant to say Egotastic!
