Travis ShumanWebsite

Travis is one of Egotastic's 'gaming' writers. He's a born and raised Canadian but doesn't live in an igloo and has, believe it or not, never ridden a polar bear or met an Eskimo. I know, crazy...right? Travis has a strong passion for both video games and writing as well as the wonderful world of comic books. He has even given his arm, and several days worth of pain, for Marvel Comics with a superhero sleeve. Travis is known for liking those who 'Like' his Facebook page and disliking those who frown upon his colorful arm.

Bethesda Reveals ‘Dragonborn’ Skyrim DLC

As with regular Skyrim fashion, previous rumors of a new DLC pack coming to Bethesda's best selling RPG have been officially confirmed by Bethesda Softworks. Rumors began circulating in October of a third DLC pack coming to Skyrim. The DLC titled 'Dragonborn' was discovered in a line of code from a PC update of the game, which also hinted at the ability to ride dragons.

Halo 4 Features a 6 Hour Campaign

One of the most hyped games of 2012 has undoubtedly been Halo 4. The end of a trilogy is always a scary point for fans of the series, as it's the perfect time to end the series for good. Needless to say, the Halo franchise continued to push on after Halo 3 with a number of titles that kept their distance from the original trilogy. Halo 4 is finally arriving next week and the reviews are beginning to pour in.

Cold Coffee: Video Game Manuals

This is going to sound pretty crazy, but there was once a time when video games came with these big, colorful, vibrant manuals. It was just the way things were, and we thought nothing special of it. When you bought a game at your local retailer, you’d get the video game in a case with an instruction manual. I can even remember renting a game and reading the manual front to back as an appetizer on the way back home. These manuals used to be thick, containing all the info you could need on how to play the game. The pages were really colorful and always written in a voice that reflected the type of game you were playing. Lighthearted games held a humorous tone while FPS stealth games such as Splinter Cell made you feel like you were reading the orders for your next secret mission, not to mention all the great screenshots and drawings you’d find scattered throughout the manual. It really gave you something to get you excited to play.

Bigben Interactive Reveals Call of Duty: Black Ops II PS3 Controller

It's not exactly a surprise when a company creates a video game accessory based on an upcoming AAA game. Slapping a known brand on a product will instantly ensure that it will sell, regardless of it's quality. I can't vouch for the quality of Bigben Interactive's newly revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops II controller but I can say that it's a pretty sight to behold.

Samus Aran and the Top 7 Hottest Blondes in Gaming

If you're a dedicated reader, you may be thinking 'what's the deal? Didn't you already do a Top 7 list on the hottest women in gaming?'.

Well, first of all, thanks for reading. I did do a Top 7 on the hottest women in gaming; it was the very first Top 7 that kicked off the whole series. I like to change these lists up every week to give a wide variety of topics relating to the video game industry but this is Egotastic we're talking about here. I know what you guys want. You loved the 'hottest women' and you loved the 'greatest sex scenes' so I'm talking the first of the two and breaking it down and really dissecting it...because you know you want it.

For the next month, we'll be taking a look at the hottest blondes, brunettes, redheads and 'other' in the video game industry. That's like...four times as many women and we all know that can never be a bad thing. People say blondes do it better...let's see if they're right.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is Coming, Here’s Why You Need to Get It

This final quarter of 2012 has been proving to be a great time for the gaming community. The amount of quality games that have been released in the past couple months have been great and there's only more to come from here. Everything from massively hyped games like Dishonored to sleeper hits like Sleeping Dogs have really shown their worth and risen to the top this year but we're not done yet. One of the biggest games I've been looking forward to this year is Criterion's Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
