Are Video Games Sexist When It Comes To Butts?

I remember back when I was in high school playing the original Tomb Raider game and being quite taken with the character of Lara Croft. I'm not one of those weirdoes that gets sexually turned on by cartoons so it was a bit of a surprise to me. Part of it is the fact that as the camera follows her from behind you get a constant look at her shapely booty. Come to think of it, this is true of most female video game characters. Their butts are definitely prominently featured. This has raised the hackles of Anita Sarkeesian of the Feminist Frequency YouTube channel. She points out that video games show off women's booties while purposefully hiding the posteriors of male characters. Personally, I'm not interested in the contours of Mario's butt, however maybe someone is.

It's true that most video game players are heterosexual males. I have no data to back that up but it just seems that way. But a lot of girls are into games too as well as dudes who like dudes. While I'm personally all for the shapely backsides of video game vixens, we should throw in something for those that like a nice male butt. It's only fair, guys.
