‘American Horror Story: Coven’ Teaser Reminds Us of a Simpler Time (VIDEO)

Ah, witches. They were the best, weren't they? Tripping balls on psychedelic potions in the woods and seducing powerful men with their dark arts and such. Certainly those witches of yore were far more exciting than the Hot Topic Wiccans of your middle school and/or high school days. The ones who just listened to the Cure and wore torn-up Skinny Puppy t-shirts? Thankfully, the new season of American Horror Story, sub-titled Coven, will explore the sexy-type witches of days past.

The here's what FX is saying about the newest incarnation of their multi-headed horror franchise:

Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves.

Ok, so maybe there will be some Goth action? Maybe. At least with Emma Roberts on board we'll have someone to ogle. Amiright?

Either way, here's hoping that this version will be as pants-crapping an soul-crushing as its first two seasons were.
