Screen Junkies is weighing in on the age-old debate of which is the worse Spider-Man movie: Spider-Man 3 or The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It could honestly go either way, and the truth of the matter is that they're both god awful in their own unique ways, but as this new Honest Trailer proves, no matter which one you pick, you still lose.
This isn't the time or place to offer up a post-mortem on ASM2, but there's no denying that this flick was a low point for the franchise. Nobody really went nuts for either of Andrew Garfield's outings as Spider-Man, mostly because they insisted on redoing his origin story again in the first flick and then overcrowded the sequel with villains and useless subplots. They were both woefully misguided efforts despite a handful of good qualities—namely Garfield and Emma Stone.
Bottom line, these films were products of studio mismanagement of a beloved character. Thankfully Peter Parker is back where he belongs now, and we can hope for a future filled with Spider-Man sequels that are infinitely better than this one. Screen Junkies definitely hits the nail on the head with this one.
