Alden Ehrenreich Becomes ‘Solo’ in New Star Wars Story Featurette (VIDEO)

We're less than four weeks away from finally seeing the Star Wars film with the most troubled production since A New Hope, but we really know precious little about the plot of Solo: A Star Wars Story. This new featurette, "Becoming Solo," gives us a glimpse at some interesting new twists in the character's backstory.

First off, it looks as though the rumors of Han actually having been an Imperial soldier were correct, as shown by this footage of him in Imperial garb fighting on a battlefield. Granted, this could be misdirection and actually occur later in the film, but there were rumors that Han started out with the Empire before abandoning it to become a criminal.

Chewie fans will also be happy as there's lots of new footage of everyone's favorite walking carpet. I'm not expecting much nuance to be added to the relationship between Han and Chewie, but it'll still be fun to see them in action together.

Then, of course, there's Donald Glover's take on Lando, which looks terrific. Though we've only seen him in one or two scenes, the more I hear him speak, the more I think he's gonna walk away with the movie.

We'll all find out soon enough as Solo: A Star Wars Story opens three weeks from Friday, on May 25.
