The Girlie Show, known as TGS, will be no more come the end of next year.

Of course, as sad is it is to see the end of the fart machine and Tracey Jordan's wonderful impressions it's even more depressing to see the end of Tracey Morgan, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin's attempts to create the programme. 30 Rock will conclude after it's upcoming seventh season.

There had been rumours that this season would be 30 Rock's last or that Alec Baldwin would be bidding farewell as Jack Donaghy but NBC have decided to give the show one final hurrah with a 13 episode run next year.

Despite it's falling ratings the critically-acclaimed show has still received plenty of plaudits over it's current run but the success of Modern Family and Glee have overshadowed the programme recently. It's going to be sad not to catch up with Tracey, Kenneth, Jenna et al every week but 30 Rock will be fondly remembered that is for sure.
