Ultrabook on Steroids: LG Unveils 15.6-inch U560 Ultrabook for Hardcore Users

The Ultrabook is every manufacturer-that's-not-Apple's answer to Apple's Macbook Air. They didn't exactly say that outright, but it definitely seems that way to me. Intel came up with a set of specific guidelines as to what a laptop should be before it can be classified as an Ultrabook.

Now it seems that LG has taken those supposedly rigid requirements and made the most of it (while stretching a few other specifications) to come up with their new U560 Ultrabook.

It's everything an Ultrabook should be and more.

LG's U560 comes equipped with a 15.6-inch 1080p display and will be powered by Intel's yet-to-be-released Core i5 3337U Ivy Bridge CPU, which clocks in at 1.8GHz (and 2.7GHz Turbo) with 3MB of L3 cache, Intel HD 4000 graphics, and a 17W TDP.

That's a long list of stats but for the non-technical, just know that all of these are indications that the U560 is going to be one powerful machine.

No release dates and no pricing information have been provided yet, but keep posted. This is one laptop that's definitely worth lusting over.
