ESPN Shows Some Balls, Suspends Rob Parker
Well look at that. ESPN went ahead and suspended Rob Parker after he made some pretty stupid remarks yesterday about Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. Among the lowlights of Parker's bizarre comments were that he wondered if Griffin was a 'brother or a cornball brother.' He also wondered if RG3 was 'down with the cause' and pointed out that Griffin has a white fiancee and has been rumored to be a Republican.
Parker was tabbed to host ESPN's weekend version of First Take, the show that gives super troll Skip Bayless a platform to act like a clown and Stephen A. Smith the chance to yell back at Bayless. The show's tagline is 'embrace debate' but really their goal is to 'inflame everyone.' Good to see that ESPN did the right thing after Parker's ignorant display, but it remains to be seen if they'll be keeping him around after the suspension.
