Rookie running back David Wilson of the Giants proclaimed after a slow start to his season that would eventually wind up enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, so we’ve been tracking his progress ever since.
With primary backup RB Andre Brown out with a broken leg, Wilson figured to become a bigger part of the offense. Apparently head coach Tom Coughlin had a different plan. Wilson got the ball more than usual, but that’s because usual had included zero carries for a few weeks. In Monday night’s loss to the Redskins, Wilson had four carries for nine yards.
Wilson continues to return kickoffs, which he has done pretty well most of the year, and he had four more on Monday with an average of 20 yards per return.
Canton probability after week 13 – Low.
